Daniella Westbrook’s ex-cagefighter fiance ‘gave his own MUM a black eye in drunken row’
Ex-Eastender and CBB star's former toyboy Tom Richards admitted assaulting his mother
DANNIELLA Westbrook's cage fighter ex-fiancée gave his OWN MOTHER a black eye in a drunken rage, a court heard today.
Toy boy Tom Richards, 26, split with former soap star Danniella, 42, after she confessed people mistook her for his mum.
He admitted giving his his real mother Emma, 50, a black eye in a bust-up over a night out at Haverfordwest magistrates.
Richards called his mumat 6.30am to get a lift home after a night out.
Prosecutor Vaughan Pritchard-Jones said: "When she arrived Richards grabbed her mobile phone. She asked for it back and reached towards him.
"To stop her, Richards gave her a palm-off to the face, using the flat of his hand, and caused her to have a black eye.
"He was grinding his teeth and his body language and behaviour was very aggressive."
Magistrates heard Richards then ran off with the phone and later smashed a window at their family home in Narberth, Pembrokeshire.
Mum Emma told the court: "I find this hard, as when not in drink he's a loveable, friendly person.
"I tried to get him professional help for his drinking and other issues.
"When he doesn't get his own way, he gets aggressive. I can't go on accepting his behaviour."
She said she is seeking to get him help for his alcoholism.
The prosecution has requested a six-month restraining order to prevent Richards, of Hafod, Swansea, from seeing his family.
Magistrates adjourned the case until April 27 and Richards was released on conditional bail.
He got together with Danniella after she ended her 12-year marriage to Kevin Jenkins but their romance was marred by a string of bust-ups.
Their unlikely engagement ended early last year and he was slapped with a restraining order after he admitted harassing the star at a pub in east London.
Richards denied harming Danniella after being cleared of giving the actress a black eye in late 2014.
