She was wearing a “tan dress, white apron and white cape."
The teenager is described as white and about 5-feet-10 inches tall and 125 pounds.
The department could not immediately be reached for comment by The Sun on Monday.
However, police officer Matt Hess told on Monday that “there is no reason to believe that she wanted to leave” and that the department does not have an explanation as to why she vanished.
“She didn’t indicate to anyone that she wanted to go take a trip, so it’s very out of character for women to do this,” Hess said.
“So it changed the circumstances in the sense that there was no preplanned events or reasons for her to not come back home.”
Stoltzfoos is a member of the Amish church and has brown hair and blue eyes, WGAL reported. She may be at risk of injury.
Search and rescue teams and a K-9 unit are searching for her by foot in the rural area in the rows of corn fields, according to the news channel.
Officials are in need of volunteers to pair up with first responders to help find Stoltzfoos.
Anyone who would like to volunteer is asked to meet on Enterprise Drive at the fire hall.
