A TEARY-eyed FedEx driver revealed that some "hick" spat on him and called him the N-word while he was trying to do his job.

Brandon Brackins, 23, said he was making deliveries in when a motorist nearly struck him and hurled insults at him.

Brackins revealed in a poignant video posted on Facebook that he was devastated by the incident.

";Why? Why so much hate? I really don’t get it," he said in the video posted on June 10.

“I can’t even think straight right now.”

He said a man drove up next to him and called him the N-word and spit on him before driving away.

“Spit on me… Spit on me. Really?” Brackins said.

“I’m usually really good with words," he continued.

"I really don’t let that s**t get to me, but when you almost hit me and spit on me and call me a n***** … What?”

A staggering 450,000 people have viewed the heartfelt six-minute video, and many expressed their sympathy and support.

"I am glad you got it on camera and his car," one user wrote.

"They need to find him, expose him and arrest him.

"What trash! Please let us know how you are doing and keep up posted on this.

"We want justice for you."

Brackins would write that "you guys are all soo amazing and helpful."

Lisbon Mayor Peter Wilson told that a police report was filed and an investigation is underway.

“I think it’s a lot worse than a lot of people think. It’s a lot worse… Racism is alive," he told the TV station.

FedEx told the station that the company is "saddened and outraged" by what happened to Brackins.

"This type of behavior has no place in society, and our first concern is for our team member," read the statement.

"We are staying connected offering our support.

"At FedEx, our workforce is as diverse as the world we serve, and we believe that everyone deserves respect.”
