Where are the Take the High Road stars now?
TAKE THE HIGH ROAD is considered a Scottish institution and certainly one of our fondest remembered TV shows.
The antics of the residents of Glendarroch entertained audiences from 1980 until 2003.
With affairs, mysteries and plenty of sheep, it had all the ingredients necessary for a great soap.
And plenty of famous faces popped up in the process.
Here we take a look a look back at the soap’s most memorable stars and what
they’re up to these days.
Eileen McCallum
Once famous for her role as Isabel Blair in the hit series, Eileen has moved on to star in many beloved Scots shows and productions, including playing
Dolly in Tony Roper's "The Steamie" and more recently as Liz Buchanan in River City.
Natalie J Robb
Since her stint as Trish McDonald in Take The High Road, Natalie has become a mainstay face in some of the UK's most watched television shows such as The Bill and Doctors.
She now stars as Moira Barton in ITV's Emmerdale.
James Cosmo
The Clydebank-born actor had a small stint as Alex Geddes in Take The High
Road in 1982, and is one of Scotland's most recognisable actors on the big screen.
Game of Thrones fans will certainly remember James as Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.
Gary Hollywood
Making his debut on the show in 1995, Gary quickly became one of the show's most popular characters.
And it didn't take Dominic Dumbar long to get into trouble!
Modern audiences are more used to seeing Gary in the hugely popular Mrs Brown's Boys, where he plays Dino Doyle on the hit BBC show.
Ron Donachie
Definately one of those actors you recognise from being in almost everything, Ron's CV is a pretty impressive read.
He played Duncan Strachan on the show between 1992 and 1993 and has since gone on to appear in a wide variety of TV and films.
Titanic, Filth, Blitz and Greyfriars Bobby are just some of his silver screen credits, along with his various roles in Still Game, Taggart, Casualty and Game of Thrones.
