Black ‘big cat the size of a dog’ spotted ‘moving like a predator’ outside hospital in Wales as HUGE paw prints found
A HUGE black cat "the size of a dog" has been spotted prowling on the outskirts of an NHS hospital in Britain's latest big beast sighting.
The mystery creature was seen stalking the area in a "predatory" way near the Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales.
Following a second sighting of an unknown large animal, huge paw prints were found 30 miles away in Newport.
NHS worker Debra Winter had earlier raised the alarm to colleagues after seeing the 'Merthyr Monster' lurking.
She managed to snap the dog-size cat on her mobile phone from the hospital window.
It comes The Sun reported how armed cops swooped after a “large cat” was seen in a back garden in North London.
BIG BEAST
Debra said: “My colleague and I were looking out the window. We noticed a large black cat moving slowly on the newly constructed path close to the helipad.
“It looked about the size of a dog, but moved like a predatory cat.
"It caught our attention immediately, and we watched it until it went out of our sight.
“We knew it wasn’t a normal cat so mentioned it to our colleagues.
"As far as I’m aware there have been no other sightings.”
Meanwhile 30 miles away in Newport, South Wales, mum-of-two Jodi Hunt found huge paw prints in mud after spotting a mystery beast walking in a field.
A BBC study in big cats such as panthers can cover a range of up to 240sq miles.
Jodi had earlier seen a large animal looking at her and her daughters while out on a walk.
She said: "The previous day my daughters and I had seen a big animal.
"I’m not sure what it was, but we saw it while walking and it was staring at us from under a tree.

Yesterday, a billionaire claimed the big cat on the loose in North London is a cheetah after armed cops searched his garden.
Nirmal Sethia revealed officers swooped on "Billionaire's Row" last night with machine guns and cornered the escaped cat in his property - before it gave them the slip.
The 78-year-old Newby Teas tycoon now fears for the safety of his two-year-old twin grandchildren who are living with him and their parents in Hampstead, North London.
Mr Sethia revealed armed cops descended on his garden to search for the animal - believed to be a Savannah cat - at 9.30pm yesterday.
He said: "Most of them had guns, some had machine guns. Some had electronic tasers.
"Slowly more and more people started coming and about 12 police, then 15 to 20.
"They identified the cat, hidden behind in the bushes and made its way along the back of my garden.
"Police said it could be a cheetah."
