Notorious gangster freed from jail for just TWO MINUTES after being arrested at prison gates
A NOTORIOUS gangster had a taste of freedom for just two minutes after he was arrested at the prison gates and re-jailed.
Sam Walker planned on being picked up in a black Lamborghini to celebrate his release after spending two years behind bars.
But the 36-year-old’s ambition was dashed when five police officers reportedly arrested him at the gates of HMP Durham just as he was released on Monday.
Walker, from Liverpool, was then taken to nearby Peterlee Police Station where he was charged with assaulting an emergency worker, making threats to kill and making threats to damage property.
The notorious inmate - who has documented his life behind bars on social media using illegal mobile phones - later appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court before being returned to the Category B prison.
According to Durham Constabulary, the charges related to an incident that occurred while Mr Walker was serving time at HMP Durham on March 15, 2020.
He is due back at the same court for a further hearing on June 17.
A source close to the self-confessed career criminal said: “Sam’s gutted he wasn’t released after spending two years in prison for a driving offence.
“He feels that terrorists and paedophiles are treated better than he is. He thinks that the system is out to get him because he speaks his mind.”
RETURNED TO PRISON
Walker was jailed for 33 months last February for several offences including two high speed police chases and smuggling a mobile phone in prison.
During his incarceration he was a constant annoyance to prison authorities for repeatedly recording life behind bars on illegal mobile phones.
While he was banged up he was visited by the former Love Island star Malin Andersson during his incarceration at HMP Woodhill late last year.
In February he was found guilty of stealing a £160 replacement car windscreen and hit with a further 12 weeks in prison, to which he replied: "Nice one."
In a statement, Durham Constabulary, said: "Samuel Walker was arrested at the gates of HMP Durham on his release.
"He was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, making threats to kill and making threats to damage property which originated from an incident while he was in prison on March 15.
"He appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on May 19 and was remanded in custody for a further hearing at Durham Crown Court on June 17."
In July 2018 Walker taunted cops with videos of him flying into the UK on a helicopter.
