Homeless man fighting for his life in hospital after two rough sleepers attacked in central London
A HOMELESS man is fighting for his life after two rough sleepers were attacked in central London.
The 44-year-old was allegedly assaulted by two men in Victoria Street, Westminster around 4.30am on Thursday and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Paramedics and police officers raced to the scene, but the suspects fled.
Two hours later, another homeless man, 32, was attacked outside Waterloo Stationnand suffered head injuries.
He is in a stable condition after attending a South London hospital.
CCTV showed one of the men in the Westminster attack was in the area of the second assault around two hours later.
A 34-year-old man has been charged in connection with the assault at Waterloo.
Detectives have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the attack on Victoria Street.
He is described as white, and was wearing a dark blue jacket, blue trousers and white trainers.
