NURSES have slammed Real Housewives of Cheshire star Leanne Brown for claiming a coronavirus vaccine could be "dangerous".

The wife of ex-Manchester United ace Wes Brown made the comments during a video uploaded to Instagram, in which she dubbed the nation-wide lockdown a form of "state control".

She also added that she would not get a vaccine for the deadly bug when it becomes available.

Speaking to her 260,000 Instagram followers, Leanne said: "I hope it won't be mandatory in the UK, because I definitely won't be having it.

"What's really going on here - the bigger picture is it is control."

The Real Housewives star added: "I'm not denying that there's a virus, I'm not denying that if you do get it it's a nasty virus.

"I know people have died, people that are more vulnerable - that have underlying health conditions - are more at risk."

'BRAINWASHED'

But the WAG went on to claim the death figures "don't match up" with what people are saying, suggesting the numbers are on par with previous years.

According to the Office for National Statistics, however, excess deaths are more than double the previous four years.

The UK's coronavirus death toll is now more than 30,000, rising to at least 30,459 today.

The clip posted by Leanne has been viewed more than 200,000 times, sparking concern among frontline health workers battling the pandemic.

One paediatric nurse called Sophie, commented: "The reason it's so important to vaccinate is to protect the vulnerable - who are unable to be vaccinated against due to illness already - catching extra things is a death sentence for them.

"It's difficult working in the medical world and seeing posts like this where it puts other people at risk.

"People make sure your medical knowledge and understanding is there to be able to interpret it fully and properly."

CONSPIRACY THEORIES

Another added: "Oh Leanne! Please realise you are being brainwashed by the crazy American anti-vaxxers.

"Science speaks for itself, just look into the history of vaccination and what life was like before it."

The mum-of-three also revealed she hadn't given her daughters the HPV vaccine, which protects against around 90 per cent of cervical cancers.

The World Health Organisation have also declared it completely safe.

During the video, she said the real virus is fear, telling viewers: "Why are we being told to stay inside, the stuff that we are being told doesn't make sense.

"We need to think about what we're being told.

"You need to not be frightened, stop watching the news, get outside, get some exercise."

As coronavirus has spread across the globe, social media has seen a barrage of information as to where the virus came from.

One of the most persistent conspiracy theories is that the disease is caused by the rolling out of the 5G network across the globe.

The claims state 5G towers emit radiation which can attack the immune system, making people more susceptible to the coronavirus.

Anti-vaxxers have even falsely claimed that Microsoft founder Bill Gates wants to use a vaccine to inject microchips into people - or to cull 15 per cent of the world population.

The UK's death toll is expected to jump again later today, when the Government reveals the latest figures from the virus in today's coronavirus briefing.

Today Boris Johnson told his Cabinet the UK will proceed its lockdown with "maximum caution" and any changes will be "very limited".
