The President said: "We're going to see where it is - we're going to see where it comes from. There's a lot of theories. China might even tell us."

Trump was asked by a reporter whether he had seen "anything that gives you a high degree of confidence" that the virus originated in the Chinese lab.
The President responded: "Yes I have".
However, when asked what gave him the confidence, he refused to give specifics.
"I can't tell you that, I'm not allowed to tell you that," Trump replied.

The President’s remarks came after the Office of the Director of National Intelligence announced earlier on Thursday that  was “not manmade or genetically modified.”

“The [Intelligence Community] will continue to rigorously examine emerging information and intelligence to determine whether the outbreak began through contact with infected animals or if it was the result of an accident at a laboratory in Wuhan.”

The statement noted their determination “also concurs with the wide scientific consensus.”

The coronavirus has devastated the , having killed at least 61,669 Americans.

The country currently has a total of 1,064,572 .

However, 147,411 have recovered from the disease.
