Crook who claimed £4m win ‘with stolen card’ jailed for headbutting girlfriend and trying to pay her off with ‘winnings’
A CROOK who tried claiming a £4million lotto scratchcard win with a "stolen" card has been caged for headbutting his girlfriend and attempting to pay her off with his "winnings".
Mark Goodram, 37, and his pal Jon-Ross Watson, 31, were refused the life-changing win after allegedly using another person’s debit card without permission to win the prize.
Goodram has now been jailed for 25 minutes over a vicious attack on his ex-girlfriend in September last year.
The thug headbutted the victim so hard in the head paramedics could see her bone after he erupted during the boozy row - calling her a "slag".
He then offered her cash from his supposed winnings if she told police she had fallen, Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard.
Even after he was arrested, Goodram bombarded his ex with letters and phonecalls.
Prosecutor Daniel Calder said: "In these communications he asked her to tell the police that she had been drunk and had fallen over.
"He also asked her to not attend court to give evidence. He told her that he had enjoyed a large lottery win and would 'look after her'.
"He also warned her that she would 'get done' for assaulting him if she attended court."
Serial offender Goodram initially denied the attack but today pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Hugh Barton, defending, told the court Goodram has been diagnosed with anxiety and depression and has had a "long struggle with substance misuse".

Judge Graeme Smith also slapped Goodram with a restraining order banning him from contacting the victim.
Goodram and pal Jon-Ross Watson, 31, claimed they were given permission to use the debit card after scooping £4million on the scratchcard win in April last year.
But Camelot said the card was stolen and refused to pay out - with the pair threatening to call police on the lottery operator.
