TV presenter Steph McGovern is the latest celebrity to back The Sun’s Who Cares Wins Appeal
TELLY’S Steph McGovern has opened up about being a first-time mum and praised the NHS who delivered her daughter.
The presenter, who had her five-month-old baby with her TV executive girlfriend, is one of our health service’s biggest champions.

Her mum, Anne, was a hospital radiographer for 40 years, and Steph is the latest celebrity to back The Sun’s Who Cares Wins Appeal.
She said: “What is clear is how much our NHS staff put others first. They genuinely care, and for that we should be celebrating every single one of them."
“Mum kept me level-headed. If I was moaning about some telly thing, she’d be like, ‘I’ve been dealing with cancer patients’. She’s always made me put life in perspective, and she loved her job.”
The 37-year-old former BBC Breakfast presenter is keeping the name of her daughter under wraps.
Like most of us, Steph says she has struggled to separate her work and home life. But unlike us, she has her kitchen and bookshelves judged by hundreds of thousands of viewers daily who tune in to watch her presenting The Steph Show on Channel 4 from her living room.
Away from her job, she is concerned about the social impact isolation has on youngsters.
