Ex-Lord Mayor accused of baking a swastika into a hot cross bun and posting image on Snapchat

A FORMER Lord Mayor has been accused of baking a swastika into a hot cross bun and posting the image online.
Lee Mason, 58, sparked outrage from Jewish groups and has been suspended by the Tory party.
He remains a councillor in Portsmouth, where he was Lord Mayor in 2018-19, but is now sitting as an independent.
But the city’s Labour MP Stephen Morgan said he may have broken the council’s code of conduct.
The Campaign Against Antisemitism said: “Residents expect better from their representatives.”
Cllr Mason has admitted baking “sex” and “f**k” into Easter buns.

But he denied the Nazi symbol claim saying the Snapchat images had been digitally altered. He said: “I’m being got at.”
He added: “I’m partly bemused, partly offended.
“I don’t know what someone’s motive is behind it.”
