It is not known if she had underlying health problems.

Jayne's boyfriend Euan Murray wrote on Facebook: “In just over two weeks time, me and Jayne should be celebrating eight years together. Instead, we have all tragically lost the most loving woman on the face of the planet - funny and beautiful to boot.

“Jayney, I am so grateful for the time we shared together, they have been the best years of my life. I wish more than anything that we could have had the future we planned together.

“I’d give anything to hold you one last time, our socially distant walk round the park where we met all those years ago just wasn’t enough. I would have kept walking forever if I had known it was the last time that I’d see you.

“Every breath hurts, my heart is broken, I miss you so much already. Love you forever.”
Jayne, of Preston, Lancs, did not have a cough but went into cardiac arrest on Saturday evening and died in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Euan’s dad Robert Murray added: “For all those who think social distancing is a joke, reality hit home hard this morning.

“Covid-19 does not just affect the old! It has no respect of age or gender.”

Mr Murray said Jayne and Euan had been unable to celebrate her birthday together - “not a kiss or a hug, not to walk hand in hand”.

Jayne described herself on Instagram as an “avid baker and animal lover”.

Her mother Jackie said: "Why this devastating thing happened we will only have to wait and see. She will be forever in our hearts and sorely missed."

She changed her Facebook profile picture to a snap of her and her daughter and the caption: "Protect your community against Covid-19."

The tragedy came a week after Chloe Middleton, 21, from High Wycombe, Bucks, became the the UK’s youngest coronavirus victim with no existing medical issues.

Meanwhile a woman whose parents died at the weekend after getting Covid-19 says people must respect the lockdown.

Christopher Vallely, 79, and his wife Isobel, 77, died within 12 hours of each other.

Their daughter Fiona said: ”Please, please, please everybody, follow the guidelines, do everything you can to protect yourself and your families because this is only going to get worse.

“They both had underlying health issues but they couldn't fight this illness. It shows how this is a very, very serious illness.

"Yes, they were 79 and 77, but they were both so young at heart and young in their heads and had so much life still to live."

Ms Vallely said she was able to say goodbye to her parents at Mater Hospital in Belfast, unlike some others.

She paid tribute to the staff at the hospital, saying they were “doing an amazing job and putting their lives at risk”.

She added: “This is why everyone has to take this seriously.”
