Coronavirus felt like the devil was in my body, fit and healthy 28-year-old mum warns young Brits
A FIT mum aged 28 struck down by coronavirus hopes her suffering will act as a warning to youngsters — telling them: “It felt like the devil was inside me.”
Nurses in protective gear hooked up Jamie Baggett to an oxygen tank in an isolation room less than a week after coming down with a chest infection.

She is now out of hospital and self-isolating at home but fears her eight-year-old son Rylan could also become infected.
Jamie told The Sun: “I didn’t travel abroad or even come into contact with anyone I knew to have the virus.
“I’m generally fit, I go to the gym quite a lot, I eat healthily and I enjoy my spin classes. But the symptoms escalated quickly.”
I had a fever and began to feel nauseous
Asthma-sufferer Jamie, from Loughton, Essex, recalled: “At the start of the month I started getting symptoms and I went to the doctor with what I thought was a chest infection.
“I had cold-like symptoms, a fever and I began to feel nauseous. The doctor prescribed me antibiotics and a few days later I had felt better.
“But I still wheezed with a continuous cough.
“I developed pneumonia and I was diagnosed with Covid-19.”

Jamie, pictured in hospital wearing an oxygen mask before her diagnosis, said: “It was horrific pain. I was sick three times when I was coughing. I had a constant pain and aches all over.
“My chest was the worst. It was like a stabbing pain every time I took a breath.
“It felt like it was piercing my inside and lasted a while.”

Jamie said that she was released from the Princess Alexandra hospital in Harlow, Essex, when she was able to breathe. She said: “Since I’ve been home I’ve had a lot of back pain and I still get coughing fits.
“I’m not 100 per cent but I’m a lot better.
“Rylan has been brilliant. He’s being a really brave little boy.
“He’s fetching me things and helping me. I do worry about him though.
“He’s not showing any symptoms at the moment. But I don’t know if that will change. I’m anxious about the situation with him.
“What if he gets it from me but doesn’t have any symptoms? I’m terrified.
“I cannot stress enough how this has made me feel. And I urge everyone to please isolate and protect yourself and others.
“Unfortunately it’s out there and it’s spreading fast — so think of your loved ones and your community.”
Jamie added: “Luckily I’ve got two people dropping things off for me at my window.
“I never thought that this could happen to me.”
She spoke out amid increasing reports of younger victims who are developing the virus.

Another healthy mum, 39-year-old Tara Jane Langston, filmed herself struggling to breathe and said that Covid-19 made it felt like having ”glass in her lungs”.
And an ambulance driver told The Sun he spent the night in Stoke fighting for the life of a 36-year-old with no underlying health conditions.
He insisted: “We are at a critical level and can’t cope anymore. This is serious.”
