PARTS of Britain are in for a cold night with temperatures dropping down as far as -6C in places.
The coming nights are set to be chilly though the daytime temperature could rise up to 15C during the day in time for Mother's Day weekend.
Northern Britain saw frost and wintery weather yesterday and temperatures struggled to get to 9C in many places.
Met Office forecaster Simon Partridge said there will be frosty nights ahead.
“Overnight it will be mostly dry and still cold in most of the country,” he said.
“It’s possible that in parts of Scotland the temperature could get down as low as -6C and in parts of the Midlands it could get down to -2 or -3C.
