PRIME MINISTER Boris Johnson has called an emergency Cobra meeting for 5pm today to discuss how to combat coronavirus.
The UK leader is considering stricter measures to keep people in their homes after the death toll from the bug in this country passed 300.

What time is the Cobra meeting today?
Boris Johnson called an emergency Cobra meeting for 5pm on Monday 23 March.
It came after schools closed from today and the UK's death toll for coronavirus passed 300.
On Sunday he also announced plans to ask 1.5million vulnerable an at risk people to stay at home for a period of 12 weeks.
What will happen at the emergency meeting?
The prime minister is expected to discuss stricter measures to keep people in their homes and slow the spread of the virus.
Last Friday he ordered pubs, bars, restaurants and leisure centres to close their doors immediately.
But pictures from over the weekend showed public gathering in parks and other areas and not respecting the social distancing guidelines.
What happened at the last Cobra meeting?
The outcome of the Cobra meeting on March 16 was discussed in a press conference where the prime minister advised Brits to work from home.
He also urged over 70s to avoid others and families with symptoms to stay home for two weeks in order to stop the spread of the bug.
The Cobra meeting was targeted at the most vulnerable people in society including pregnant women who were advised to avoid contact.
Mass gatherings were affected as from March 17 with the government effectively banning them.

What is Cobra?
Cobra - sometimes referred to as just COBR - stands for the Cabinet Office Briefing Rooms.
The A is added as the meetings commonly take place in Briefing Room A.
They are meeting rooms situated in Downing Street in London, within Cabinet Office buildings and used for committees which coordinate the actions of government bodies in response to national or regional crisis.
Cobra meetings are called in response to national emergencies.
