Coachella ‘postponed by six MONTHS’ over coronavirus fears just days after SXSW and other huge events are axed
COACHELLA has reportedly been postponed by six months over coronavirus concerns - joining SXSW and other major events that have been axed.
The 20-year-old music festival over recent days after local health officials in Riverside County, confirmed the first case of the killer virus in the area at the weekend.
And on Monday, sources said would be pushed back from April 10-19 until the weekends of October 9 and 16, according to a who claimed the lineup was so far unaffected.
That came after Riverside officials revealed three more cases of coronavirus had been confirmed in the county on Monday.
Other reports said the mega-festival's promoter Goldenvoice was in talks regarding the postponement - and agreement was being sought within the next 48 hours, otherwise the event could be cancelled entirely, said.

Organizers of the Stagecoach festival were also making plans to postpone the event until October, according to .
ACTS CANCELLING
Rock band Rage Against the Machine, rapper and singer all got top billing to headline the three-day party in the desert, while ,, Lil Nas X, 21 Savage and dozens of others would take to the stage.
The news comes days after Austin called off the South By Southwest festival (SXSW) - which usually attracts around 100,000 people to the Texas city.
Pearl Jam also confirmed they were postponing their North American tour in light of the coronavirus threat.
"We’ve worked hard with all our management and business associates to find other solutions or options but the levels of risk to our audience and their communities is simply too high for our comfort level," the rockers wrote on.

The first weekend of the Coachella - one of the world's biggest festivals - was set to kick off Friday, April 10 - Sunday, April 12th.
Round two was scheduled for the following week and both weekends were expected to see crowds totalling 250,000.
Confirmed cases have here with at least as of March 9.
