Mum has twins on final round of IVF after husband masters clever matched betting technique
JUBILANT Beccie Tranmer had twins on her fourth and final round of IVF – paid for thanks to hubby Ben cracking an online betting scheme.
The couple were so desperate to give Ollie, 11, a baby brother or sister that they remortgaged their house and ended up thousands in debt.
After three unsuccessful rounds of treatment, they had given up hope until Ben heard about matched-betting.
The system involves using free wagers offered by online bookies to guarantee winning a small amount with every bet.
Ben studied it using guidance on matched betting website Team Profit.
After a year, Ben had won enough cash to pay for one last attempt at IVF.
It worked and Cooper and Austin were born last January.
Ben, 44, of Rotherham, South Yorks, said: “We were on the verge of calling it quits until I raised this extra money with matched-betting.
“I’d put 20 to 25 hours a week into it.

“The irony is that IVF is always a massive gamble.”
Beccie, 38, who had Ollie through IVF, said: “This was absolutely going to be the last time.
“I wasn’t getting any younger and was cynical about raising money through betting but it has turned out perfectly.”
