NEW England Patriots' Tom Brady problem could be solved by ambitious college quarterback Jacob Eason in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Eason, a former quarterback for the Washington Huskies, opted to leave his senior season at the University of Washington to enter the draft this year.

Now, he may be a possible first-round selection in the mock drafts as the Patriots pick 23rd on their hunt for a youthful quarterback, with or without , 43.

Speaking about the possibility of for a year, an enthusiastic Eason said "it would be a dream come true."

NFL scouts haven't quite decided whether Eason is the fourth best quarterback after Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert or if he is a third-round selection, reports the .

“Growing up, a guy like Brett Favre, a guy like Peyton Manning … were big inspirations in the way they play the game," Eason told the newspaper.

"Their toughness, their competitiveness, those are guys I model my game after," he added, after demonstrating his prowess on Thursday.

But Eason appears to be determined, saying he prefers "to have a gunslinger-type mentality" by cutting loose every time there's an opportunity to do so.

“But obviously you’ve got to know the situation," he said. "You’ve got to know the right thing to do and the wrong thing to do with the ball. That’s all part of the process of becoming a better quarterback.”

Brady’s agent is holding meetings with the likes of the Colts, Chargers and Raiders at the combine — except for the Giants.

His negotiations with the Patriots are on hold until salary cap parameters emerged after a vote on the new collective bargaining agreement.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick drafted Jimmy Garoppolo (in 2014) and Jacoby Brissett (in 2016) to prepare the team for Brady's exit.

But the quarterback - who is married to - held on for far longer than Belichick had anticipated.

His two Brady-backups started for the 49ers and Colts last season and last season, the Patriots utilized fourth-round pick, Jarrett Stidham.

If Brady does sling his hook, the Patriots’ non-draft options are Stidham,  Philip Rivers, Teddy Bridgewater or Jameis Winston - but Eason reportedly poses a bigger risk.

ESPN’s Todd McShay reported teams interviewing the Washington-born athlete commented he was "too comfortable" under pressure.

However, Eason brushed off the "criticism," saying "people out there nitpick us here and there, and our job is to compete and show what we can do."
