Sir Keir Starmer set to storm Labour leadership victory in first round in humiliating blow to Corbynistas
SIR Keir Starmer is set to storm to Labour leadership victory in the first round, in a humiliating blow to Corbynistas.
The millionaire lawyer is set to clinch 53 per cent of the vote, according to a YouGov poll of Labour members.
Corbyn clone Rebecca Long Bailey is behind on 31 per cent and Lisa Nandy 16 on per cent.
It is big boost for Sir Keir, who was also backed by London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
A growing number of Labour MPs expect Sir Keir to top 50 per cent, meaning the race won’t go to second preferences.
A Labour MP told The Sun: “Sir Keir is looking like the clear winner.”

Angela Rayner is on course to clinch the deputy leadership, with 47 per cent.
While he has run a very cautious leadership campaign, Labour insiders expect Sir Keir to boot out many of the Corbyn loyalists in the shadow cabinet if he becomes leader.
