Prince Harry to launch scoring system to tell YOU how bad for the environment your flights are after his private jet use
PRINCE Harry is launching a scoring system telling tourists how eco-friendly their flights are - despite his own gas-guzzling private jet use.
The Duke of Sussex is flying to the UK from Canada next week to share details of the scheme in his first major project since Megxit.
The project will see him travel to Edinburgh to meet around 100 people from the tourist and travel industry in Scotland at a summit to test his plans.
A source said: "It’s not telling consumers and people what they should and shouldn’t be doing.
"We want to create an industry where people’s choices will automatically be better for the planet."
Harry first launched the Travalyst project in the summer and insisted his travel was carbon neutral as he argued he travelled "99 per cent" of the time on commercial flights.
And he claimed he only flies on private jets, which create seven times the emissions per person than a normal flight, to protect his family - admitting "no one is perfect".
But he was branded a hypocrite when he and Meghan took four private jet flights in just 11 days after Harry had said "every choice, every footprint, every action makes a difference".
The jet-setting holidays also came just after Harry attended a super-secret Google Camp event in Sicily - on July 30.
'ECO-WARRIORS'
While there, the barefoot Prince gave an impassioned speech about climate change to celebs believed to include Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Campbell, Stella McCartney and Harry Styles.
He also repeated his vow to only have two kids because of his eco-concerns.
But the couple appear to have cut down on the private jet now they have started their new life in Canada after stepping down as senior royals.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex - who have handed back their HRH titles- returned to Canada for Valentines Day following a business trip in the US on a commercial plane.
They carried their own hand luggage as they were led off the plane by their close protection officers.
RETURN TO UK
Harry and Meghan will return to the UK for a whirlwind visit next week that will include the prince recording with Jon Bon Jovi for his song Unbroken with the Invictus Games Choir.
The first return to royal duties for Meghan will be on March 5, with the couple heading to the Endeavour Fund awards in London.
As part of the busy six engagements in 11 days, Harry, 35, is expected to attend the opening of the Silverstone Experience - a Brit motor racing museum - with F1 legend Lewis Hamilton on March 6.
And the next day, he will be joined by wife Meghan, 38, for the Mountbatten Festival of Music at Royal Albert Hall.
Meghan is then set to enjoy a solo outing on March 8 when the former actress will mark International Women's Day, although details of the event are yet to be announced.
And the couple's final engagement on March 9 will see them join the Royal Family, including the Queen, for the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.
This week, it was revealed the couple will have to shut their palace office from April 1 as they transition into life outside of the Royal Family.
They have been allowed to keep their HRH titles but have been forced to accept that they will not use them publicly as they tout for business around the globe.
