He is due to be in isolation for a few days until he gets his virus results back.
Former reality TV star Harry, 25, and Dean got engaged six months ago and are both believed to have jetted to Thailand for the break.
Dean wrote: "I've basically been really ill with flu the last few days and as I have recently visited Thailand my doctors thought it would be best that I am tested for Corona virus [sic].
"Tests are now done and I'll be isolated for the next few days until my results come back."
Thailand has had at least 33 confirmed cases of coronavirus, now named Covid-19 by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
More than 45,000 people have been infected with the killer bug across the globe, with at least 1,100 dying so far.
Almost all the cases and deaths have been in China, with Hubei province the virus's epicentre and its main city Wuhan on lockdown.
Dean posted his first holiday Insta snap from Ban Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand on January 25.
The caption said: "Ready for a day of exploring. Can't believe how beautiful Thailand is."
Another holiday photo shows Harry and Dean clutching drinks in a bar on a night out.
It is not known when he jetted back to Britain following the Thai holiday.
In August, Harry and Dean shared snaps from their surprise engagement party.
They took to Instagram to share a happy snap from their glitzy bash of them showing off their engagement rings.
Harry captioned the image: "We’re getting MARRIED. I’m still in shock thank you everyone who was apart of our special day. love you more then anything @mrdeanrowland."
His cousin - and fellow former Towie star- Amy Childs also took to Instagram to share snaps from the party.
Meanwhile, coronavirus "super-spreader" Stephen Walsh has been discharged from hospital today.
The dad-of-two, from Hove, East Sussex, went on to spread the infection to 11 other Brits in France during a skiing holiday.
He left the isolation unit at St Thomas' Hospital in London today and has been reunited with his wife and two children, who have been in self-quarantine since he tested positive for the bug last week.
Speaking today, Mr Walsh, 53, said: “I’m happy to be home and feeling well.
The Scout leader unwittingly brought the deadly illness into the country last month after a business trip to Singapore.
