Bell Let's Talk is described as the “single largest corporate commitment to mental health in Canada”.

In a series of Instagram stories, the couple shared posts from people around the world holding up signs with positive affirmations written on them.

The first post in the story reads: "Today is #BellLetsTalk Day, where people around the world are taking action and creating positive conversations about mental health."

The story continues, adding more images each time. The first one is of a young man holding a sign that reads: ‘Be kind to everyone you meet. It goes a long way.’

Other messages included in the story read: ‘Kindness is when my teammates lift me up in tough times,’ ‘kindness doesn't cost a thing,’ ‘be there for each other,’ and ‘we're all in this together.’

The story concludes with a final message from the Duke and Duchess: "We are so happy to be supporting Bell's mental health campaign.”

“Each time you watch @bell_letstalk official video on Instagram, Bell will donate 5 cents towards Canadian mental health initiatives."

"So please share, please talk and be part of the solution."

The plea was finished with a Canadian flag emoji.

The campaign is the first new initiative Meghan and Harry have promoted on their social media accounts since they stepped down as senior royals.

It could mark the beginning of the Sussexes’ path to collaborating with media and commercial companies, as they embark on their path to become financially independent.

Until now Harry and Meghan have been “prohibited from earning any income in any form”, but this has now changed after they stepped down as senior royals.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have launched a new website, registered in March 2019 and developed in Toronto – the young family’s new home town, as they split their time between Canada and London.

When in Britain they will also continue to use Frogmore Cottage as a base - the homes in the grounds of Windsor Castle gifted to them by the Queen.

While they said they will continue to support the Queen, they will no longer formally represent Her Majesty.

In a speech before leaving for his new home in North America, the royal told a Sentenable crowd: "It was so many months of talks after so many years of challenges. And I know I haven’t always gotten it right, but as far as this goes, there really was no other option."

The Duke claimed he wasn't walking away from the Royal Family but it "wasn't possible" to continue serving the Queen, the Commonwealth and the Military without public funding.
