Gang boss flees Ireland as feud rages after teen Keane Mulready-Woods tortured and killed
A GANG boss has fled Ireland as a vicious feud rages on following the torture and murder of 17-year-old Keane Mulready-Woods.
Cornelius Price travelled to Manchester on Tuesday as tensions continue to rise following the barbaric murder of the teenager whose body was chopped up after he was killed.
Detectives believe Keane was savagely murdered as part of a drugs war between crews based in Drogheda, a town north of Dublin.
Although crime boss Price — who has a — drafted in extra muscle at the weekend over fears he would be the next to die, he made the decision to return to his English bolt-hole.
A source said: “It’s a good thing that he’s away because he’s a very volatile criminal.
“He’s constantly on the move between Ireland and the UK because he has a lot of supporters over there.
Keane’s while other parts of his body were recovered in Ballybough, also Dublin, two days later.
Gardai are still looking for the tragic lad’s torso.
Grieving dad Joseph Maughan, whose son Willie and his pregnant girlfriend Ana were murdered by associates of Price in 2015, branded the hood a “coward”.
He said: “He’s running like he always does — the only person he cares about is himself. I’ve no doubt that if that young lad had never met Price’s associates he would still be alive.
“Price is now leaving his associates to face the music while he’s out of harm’s way — he’ll always be a coward in my eyes. I’ve also no doubt that if my son hadn’t known Price’s associates, he and Ana would also be with us today.
“He shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near Drogheda if he returns. It’s about time the State got tough with people like him.”
