MEGGING A RETURN

Meghan WILL return to UK to carry out royal duties with Harry before Megxit in Spring

MEGHAN Markle WILL return to the UK and carry out royal duties with Prince Harry in the coming months before their new Megxit arrangements officially begin in the spring.

It was revealed today that Meghan and Harry won't use their HRH titles and won't receive any more public money - but they still have a few more weeks acting as senior members of the royal family.

The new arrangement for the Sussexes is set to start in the spring - so Meghan and Harry WILL be returning to the UK for royal engagements before then.

This comes after it was announced that Meghan and Harry will no longer be using their royal HRH title since they "are no longer working members of the Royal Family."

The Duke and Duchess will also repay £2.4million of taxpayer's money that was spent on renovating their Windsor home, Frogmore Cottage.

Meghan and Harry have chosen to step down as senior royals and are expected to move to Canada more permanently - but their plans for their new life will officially take effect in Spring 2020.

Announcing the formalities of Megxit in a statement this evening, the Queen said that she was "Particularly proud of how Meghan has so quickly become one of the family.

"It is my whole family's hope that today's agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life."

Meghan and Harry are expected to launch a new charitable foundation in the spring when they officially step away from their royal duties.

As well as dropping their HRH titles, the couple will also no longer receive public funds or formally represent the Queen.

They've pledged, however, to "continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty."

The palace did not comment on the details regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's security arrangements, but said there "are well established independent processes to determine the need for publicly-funded security."

Taxpayers in Canada and the UK are expected to pick up the bill for their security.
