Piers Morgan accuses Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of ‘bullying’ Queen into Royal exit

PIERS Morgan has claimed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'bullied' the Queen into allowing them to leave the Royal Family.

The Good Morning Britain presenter tweeted the royal couple are being allowed to "have their cake and eat it" just minutes after the Queen's statement confirmed they would be leaving their full-time duties.

Piers Morgan wrote: "BREAKING: Harry/Meghan have successfully bullied the Queen into letting them have their cake & eat it."

Before the talks he branded Prince Harry a "whiny, entitled parody of himself... bullying Queen into a woke monarchy."

He went on to call the couple "two spoiled brats" whose behaviour towards the Queen is "utterly outrageous", again attacking the 10-year veteran army captain Harry, calling him "weak, whiny and miserable".

The comments come after a tense day in the Royal household as four hour "constructive" crisis talks were held at Sandringham where the Queen agreed that the couple could step down.

In a statement, the Queen said: "My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family."

Meghan and Harry are now free to split their time between Canada and the UK following the historic summit between the Queen and Princes Charles, William and Harry, with Meghan believed to have dialled in from Canada.

The couple will now go through a "period of transition" that will see them "create a new life as a young family" and spend time in both Canada and the UK.

The Queen said she was “entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family”.

But she emphasised that she — and the rest of the royals including Charles and William — wanted the couple to stay.

The summit, which took almost four hours, took place between the Queen, Prince Charles, and brothers William and Harry.

The fine detail of the agreement — especially the controversial issue of who will fund the couple’s new life — will be thrashed out over the next few days.

The monarch made clear her deep disappointment at their decision after yesterday’s Sandringham summit.

Echoing Harry and Meghan’s statement last week, the Queen said there would be a “transition period” while the details are being hammered out.
