GAYLE King denied scheduling a tell-all interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the US after they announced plans to abandon their royal duties.
The chief anchor for CBS dismissed Page Six's claims she would grill the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their shocking "step back" from the British Royal family.
The broadcast queen hosted the television special Meghan Markle: An American Princess on CBS a month before their lavish wedding, which she covered for the network.
Oprah denied 's report she actively encouraged the Sussexes to build their brand abroad as their shocking plans to leave the country emerged.
Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35, have reportedly already trademarked “Sussex Royal” as a brand on more than 100 properties in the UK with an estimated $500 million revenue, says Page Six.
Harry now faces an awkward appearance at Buckingham Palace next Thursday to host the draw for next year’s Rugby League World Cup.
It remains to be seen whether Harry and Meghan will continue to reap the rewards of their royal titles as they pursue financial independence in North America.
