Meghan and Harry get advice from the Obamas and model themselves on the power couple after abandoning royal duties
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have been getting advice from Barack and Michelle Obama after the pair quit as senior royals.
A Hollywood PR guru has revealed the former US President and his wife are an ideal example of how to "make money and keep it classy".
"If it’s a documentary, maybe Harry could narrate it."
It comes days after they announced they are stepping back and plan to become financially independent.
They want to split their time between North America and the UK - with their future roles still being hammered out.
As royals are locked in crisis talks the pair are "hopeful" workable solutions can be found "sooner rather than later", a source has said.
They added said: "It is in everyone's interest for this to be figured out, and figured out quickly, but not at the expense of the outcome."
Harry and Meghan will be able to earn money, and speculation is growing about what they will do.
A source told the Daily Mail the pair discussed their plans with the former US president and his wife.
They said: "They have found huge commercial success without actually looking like they are getting their hands dirty, to put it bluntly, and retaining their popularity.
"In fact it is fair to say that their star has soared since leaving the White House, particularly Michelle’s, and this is something Meghan admires very, very much."
MONEY MAKERS
A former actress on the US hit Suits, Meghan, 38, could return to the screen, and Harry could earn huge fees from public speaking.
"Big name speakers get well into six figures to make an appearance or give a speech at an event.
"If they choose to pursue that avenue, they would be considered in the top echelon of speakers," said Jeff Jacobson, co-founder of Canada-based Talent Bureau.
The Sussexes are currently funded in part by the Prince of Wales, and their bombshell announcement to quit as senior royals made it clear they wanted that to continue.
But it is understood Charles is adamant any funds agreement will be decided once their future roles are ironed out.
Prince Harry reportedly defied instructions from the Queen not to announce their plans, after she requested he hold off until he talked it over with his father.
And Prince Charles told his son he needed more time after he was sent a draft proposal about his future role, particularly on the issue of funding.
But it was revealed the Queen reportedly learned she had been ignored when the news broke on TV, and Charles and William only got a statement copy ten minutes before it went live.
