Iran’s top general warned US ‘our missile power is unstoppable’ and ‘we are not afraid of war’ as he mocked 9/11 attacks

A TOP Iranian military leader who taunted Donald Trump over the sickening 9/11 attacks has warned the US his missiles are “unstoppable.”

The chilling threat from General Hossein Salami emerged just 24 hours after the US’s execution of the head of Iran’s feared Quds force, Qasem Soleimani – whom Salami is expected to replace.

Soleimani was killed instantly in the airstrike, near Baghdad’s international airport early on Friday.

Tehran has already declared the well-planned assassination an “act of war” vowing “harsh revenge” on America.

And bloodthirsty Salami has long made it clear he can’t wait to wage war on his country’s many foes saying he is not afraid of conflict.

In May, he delivered his vile 9/11 low blow as tensions in the Middle East moved towards breaking point after Washington tightened economic sanctions against Iran.

“The (US political]) system has an apparently huge body, but suffers from osteoporosis,” he told the Fars news agency.

“In fact, the US is like World Trade Building that collapses with a sudden hit.”

And the tough-talking firebrand has a vile legacy of taking aim at Tehran’s enemies with his sickening war talk.

Here are some of his most shocking boasts and taunts from Salami, who was appointed commander-in-chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps last year..

• “The Islamic Republic’s missile power is unstoppable and uncontrollable, and if the Europeans try to conspire to take away our missile power, we will be forced to take a strategic leap,” he said on state TV in February.
• When US marines were captured by Iranian troops in the Gulf in 2016 he bragged: “The marines were crying when they were being captured” adding “the Americans humbly admitted our might and power.”
• “We are planning to break America, Israel, and their partners and allies. Our ground forces should cleanse the planet from the filth of their existence,” he told Iranian TV in February 2019.
• “We will break our enemy. We have decided to do so. We have a plan. We are organised and motivated. We have faith. We have martyrdom. We have Jihad.” he  said during the same speech.

• “The Saudi regime should know that it will not last. I know what dreams of horror they have every night.They await death,” he said in another blast.
• “We shall never lay down our weapons. We are holding the banner. We have taken an oath. This is who we are. We were not created for this world. We were chosen to wage Jihad,” he said in early 2019.
• “We shall fight them (our enemies) on the global level, not just in one spot. Our war is not a local war. We have plans to defeat the world powers,” Salami said during a 2018 speech.
• “Our strategy is to wipe Israel off the world’s political geography and Israel seems to be approaching this reality by its evil actions,” he once told Fars News.
• Today, more than ever, there is fertile ground – with the grace of God – for the annihilation, the wiping out, and the collapse of the Zionist regime,” he said in a speech in 2016.

Tehran has already vowed “harsh revenge” on America over the drone strike on Soleimani, however President Donald Trump insists he ordered the attack to prevent bloodshed.

The White House says twisted Soleimani was plotting a series of attacks that endangered both American troops and officials.

Soleimani was the architect of Iran’s regional policy of mobilising militias across Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.

He was also blamed for attacks on US troops and American allies going back to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

At his funeral earlier today thousands chanted “death to America” as they took to the streets of Baghdad.

Many of the mourners in Baghdad were dressed in black and carried Iraqi flags and the flags of Iran-backed militias fiercely loyal to Soleimani.
