Incredible moment horse tries to escape wrecked car after smashing through windscreen… and everyone survives
A DAZED horse stands inside a wrecked car — after clambering onto the bonnet and falling through the windscreen.
Luckily both the horse, named Ranchero, and the driver of the Daewoo car survived the accident.
Ranchero was cut free by firemen and has now made a full recovery despite suffering multiple deep lacerations.
Owner Machito Swing is said to have paid the car owner compensation for the damage to the vehicle.
Footage of the accident in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, has been viewed by more than 2.2million people on Facebook — and triggered a campaign to raise money to pay for Ranchero’s veterinary bills.
Snaps of a scarred Ranchero eating hay have gone online.
It is not clear how palomino Ranchero managed to end up on the bonnet of the car, but an investigation is underway.
However, Isaias Colon Aponte commented on Facebook: “It’s the irresponsible owner’s fault.
"I am glad the horse and driver were not badly hurt.”
Torres Marta then added: “It’s good to know the horse is OK and that the driver’s damages will be paid.”
