Model, 36, ‘too scared to leave house’ after attackers ‘jumped her’ on New Year’s Eve night out at club
A MODEL today told how she is “too scared to leave the house” after being “jumped” in two attacks on New Year’s Eve.
Model and mum-of-two Sarah Longbottom claims she was grabbed and thrown to the floor by a woman while celebrating the end of the decade at the Revival Nightclub in Rossendale, Lancs.
The 36-year-old said the same woman was then waiting for her outside the club when she left at 4am.
She claims she was then pushed to the ground outside the club by a man before he punched and kicked her in the head leaving her with a black-eye and concussion.
Speaking to , Sarah said she is now terrified to go outside and is having to hide her injuries from her young daughter Florence.
She said: “My Face is a mess, I’ve put on loads of make-up because I don’t want her to see.”
Sarah said it was a “completely last minute” decision for her to go out and celebrate New Year at the nightclub.
She dropped both her children off at her mum’s and went out partying with her young friend,
Whilst dancing the night away Sarah told Lancs Live she saw something that “didn’t seem quite right”.
She said: “I saw an old guy walking round the club.”
“He stuck out like a sore thumb, he was in his 60s, I felt old in there so he definitely stood out.”
She claims he then touched her leg before being spotted by the bouncers and he was thrown out.
But that wasn’t the end of the young mum’s troubles as moments later she said a girl threw her to the floor.
Sarah didn’t let the incident get her down and after the alleged attacker was thrown out she continued partying with her friend until 4am.
However, as she left the nightclub she was attacked again.
“I came outside and the girl who had attacked me before jumped on me”, she said.
“I managed to get her off me and I started walking towards my home, it was then that I felt something smash into me and throw me on the floor.”
She claims it was the man from the club and he started punching and kicking her in the head.
Sarah managed to get away but has been left badly shaken.
She added: “It’s disgusting, I feel afraid to go out.”
Lancashire Constabulary said a woman had made a report of an attack outside the nightclub.
A spokesman said: “We have received a report that a woman was attacked by a man and a woman outside Revival nightclub on Bacup Road, Rossendale.
“It was reported to have happened on 1 January at around 4am.
“Officers are investigating. Anyone with information should call Lancashire Police on 101 quoting log number 1002 of 1 January.”
