Suspected pedo dies in jail after arrest for ‘killing girl, 9, with chloroform while trying to rape her’
A SUSPECTED pedo died in jail days after he was arrested for allegedly killing a nine-year-old girl with chloroform while trying to rape her.
Jeffrey Beagley, 34, was found unresponsive in his jail cell on Monday before dying in hospital - days after he was booked on charges relating to the child's death.

Beagley was found unconscious at Mesa County Jail in Colorado and later pronounced dead nine days after he was taken into custody.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death for the alleged perve once the toxicology reports come through.
Beagley was taken into custody on Dec. 14. after local cops found he exposed the girl to chloroform at the house, where he allegedly kept over 1,000 child abuse images.
Local police found an empty chloroform bottle in a makeshift tent - filled with bloodstained blankets - in a shed behind his Grand Junction home.
The arrest affidavit states the child went through a horrendous ordeal before Beagley gave her the fatal dose of chloroform at his "macabre" home.
The nine-year-old was found dead on November 9 in the home which was also reportedly filled with headless dolls and a "Witch's Bible."
The little girl reportedly lived at the home with her mom, her sister and Beagley but her relationship to him hasn't been released.
'MACABRE' HOME
Beagley had ordered the chloroform, which can be used to render people unconscious, on Nov. 1, and it was delivered the day before the girl was found dead, the affidavit said.
Detectives described the tent as being built for "privacy and seclusion" as well as for watching and recording video.
Inside, cops found a computer monitor, a laptop, and a video camera.
The affidavit disturbingly revealed there were drops of blood on the blankets in front of the monitor.
The chloroform bottle and a rag were found near the blankets, according to 11.
Beagley told police he was going to use the chloroform for hemp production, the affidavit stated.
It was later found that Beagley was not in the "Hemp Industry" as he had claimed.
The home was dirty with old food on the stove and writing on the walls in crayon.
Overlooking the bed where the girl is believed to have died was a large Easter bunny type mask that had been "decorated" to look like the ears had large bloody wounds.
CHILD ABUSE IMAGES
During their search, cops allegedly uncovered 1,110 pictures and 73 videos of child abuse.
Some of these reportedly depicted the victim, who was apparently recorded with a hidden camera.
Detectives allegedly found horrific "digitally altered" images where Beagley's face had been edited into the shot.
One of these disturbing images reportedly showed an adult man raping a child.
A coroner’s office report that found the child died of “chloroform poisoning."
MOST READ IN NEWS
Beagley was facing a slew of charges before his death and due in court on Dec. 31.
These included child abuse resulting in death, reckless manslaughter, attempted sex assault on a child, sexual exploitation of a child and invasion of privacy for sexual gratification.
The investigation into his death is ongoing.
