Prince Andrew and Fergie’s Christmas card makes reference to Epstein scandal with cryptic ‘say goodbye to 2019’ caption

PRINCE Andrew and Fergie’s Christmas card makes reference to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal which has engulfed the royal this year.

The Duke of York’s friendship with the paedophile has come under scrutiny over the past few months but the card comes with the caption: “Say Goodbye to 2019.”

Andrew has come under fire over claims he allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old and for his friendship with disgraced financier Epstein, who took his own life in August this year.

The 66-year-old was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Andrew, 59, has always denied any wrongdoing but his attempt to put the matter behind him backfired when he gave a car crash interview to the BBC.

The Duke and Duchess’s festive tidings feature one image of one of their Norfolk terrier dogs nose-deep in a bush with the caption: 'Say Goodbye to 2019.'

Another shows what is thought to be the Queen's Balmoral estate and a path through the Highlands, accompanied with the message: ‘We Look to the Road Ahead.'

The white embossed card is also from the couple’s daughters Beatrice, 31, and 29-year-old Eugenie.

Printed inside is the message: “We are united with gratitude for your support and kindness, Thank you.'

Some of the cards have been sent with gifts including a pencil with a crown on top of the words 'Duchess Doodles' embossed in silver down the side, which refers to one of her favourite nicknames.

The Prince has been sacked from royal duties following the BBC interview, in which he said he did not regret his decade-long friendship with Epstein.

Virginia Roberts alleges she was forced to romp with the Duke while she was a 17-year-old trafficked victim of Jeffrey Epstein – a claim Andrew strongly denies.

Andrew was slammed for saying he did not remember meeting Virginia – or dancing with her at a London nightclub – despite the pair being photographed together.
