Johanna Lindsey dead – Best-selling romance author who sold 60million books worldwide dies aged 67 after long illness
ROMANCE author Johanna Lindsay has died aged 67.
The novelist - famed for bestsellers Captive Bride and Temptation’s Darling - had been battling Stage 4 lung cancer.

She died at her home in Nashua, New Hampshire, on 27 October - but her family mourned privately until now.
Paying tribute, pal Sarah MacLean said: "Johanna Lindsey was one of the most powerful voices of the romance genre, and at a critically important time.
"As the women’s movement revolutionised homes and workplaces in the late ’80s and early ’90s, Johanna’s strong, feminist heroines were revolutionaries in their own right - fighting for partnership, respect, and happily ever after.
"These were heroines who captained their own fate…they lived fearlessly, fought passionately, and loved with abandon…and they inspired millions of us to do the same."

Historical romance author Lorraine Heath added: "So saddened to hear of Johanna Lindsey’s passing.
"Gentle Rogue was the 1st romance novel with a clinch cover that I read after discovering romance nearly 30 years ago.
"It’s still on my keeper shelf. Johanna was a treasure."

Her books sold over 60million copies - raking in millions for publisher Simon &; Schuster.
Paying tribute, the company's marketing director Liz Perl said: "On several occasions, her mother would accompany her, which was really sweet.
"Her mother was quite outgoing, so Johanna would sign the books, and her mom would stand next to her and tell fans anecdotes about Johanna when she was young."
