Dad ‘beat his four young sons with spiked buckle and made them watch as he slaughtered their pet puppies’
A DAD is accused of brutally beating his four young sons and forcing the petrified children to watch as he killed their pet puppies.
Miguel Angel Sanchez allegedly forced the boys - aged 6, 9, 11 and 12 - to stay in a doghouse for hours at a time in freezing temperatures outside their home in New Mexico, police told .
He repeatedly battered them with a large, spiked metal buckle and a wooden board, investigators said.
Sanchez threatened to hurt his little boys if they told someone about the abuse, police said.
The 34-year-old dad allegedly made his sons watch him hurl the family's pet puppies into oncoming traffic, choke them, or shoot them in the desert, police said.
He even forced one of his terrified sons to bury the deceased dogs after he shot them, investigators said.
Sanchez allegedly kicked his nine-year-old son in the stomach for praying in their home, according to court documents obtained by the news station.
The persistent pain lasted until the following day, when the boy apparently told staff members at his day care about the abuse, the papers allege.
Staff then notified the child's mother, who is no longer with Sanchez, according to court docs.
Detectives were told that Sanchez is alleged to be a known abuser of his kids, according to court docs.
Investigators learned the allegedly abusive dad stashed guns in his home, police said.
Four restraining orders have been filed against Sanchez, who authorities said is barred from contact with his sons and their mother.

He reportedly violated the restraining order when he sent his sons a text message that reads: "My boys, please keep your heads up. This is just another stepping stone. Love you my boys listen to mommy.
"Daddy will have you soon, the world can try all they want to separate us but NO ONE MESSES WITH MY BOYS. Promise I will have you soon and with more time!!!"
Sanchez was charged with child abuse, bribery of a witness, and aggravated stalking for violating the order of protection on Monday.
He was held at the Dona Ana County Detention Center and released Tuesday on $2,5000 unsecured bond.
