YOU'RE FIRED CORBYN

Apprentice boss Lord Sugar urges Labour supporters to vote Tory to escape Brexit quagmire

APPRENTICE boss Lord Sugar today urges Labour voters to fire Jeremy Corbyn for the sake of the nation.

Writing in The Sun, the former Labour peer insists backing Boris Johnson is the only way Britain can escape its Brexit quagmire.

He also says a vote for the Tories is the best route to save Labour in the long-term — by ousting its hapless leader.

The business tycoon warned the party’s spending plans “would create economic chaos”.

He said: “Jeremy Corbyn has turned Labour into a negative anti-business party that is clueless on how the economy works. His £1.2trillion spending splurge is complete madness.”

Dubbing it “the most significant election in my lifetime”, he writes: “As a former Jewish Labour man, this is a difficult thing for me to write.

"On Thursday, it’s time for Sun readers to tell Corbyn to resign and get a sensible person to take the helm and make Labour great again.”

The lifelong Labour supporter’s intervention is a major boost for the Tories.

The PM is battling to win at least 20 heartland Labour seats in the West Midlands and North — which may be his only way to secure a majority.

'The answer is clear... keep Corbyn out'

By Lord Sugar

ON Thursday, voters will head to the polls for the most significant election in my lifetime.

As a Jewish former Labour man, this is a difficult thing for me to write. I can’t add to what’s already been said about anti-Semitism in the Corbyn-led Labour Party.

I recognise that the majority of voters, while mildly concerned about this and Corbyn’s association with terrorists, are far more concerned about the state of the country for it to influence their vote.

For this reason I’ve concluded that I should focus on why a Conservative majority government can end the uncertainty that is threatening to paralyse our economy.

I voted and campaigned for Remain in the referendum. Personally, I didn’t want Brexit, but enough is enough now — I’m sick of this nonsense.

Business and families are crying out for economic certainty to plan for the years ahead with confidence. We just need to get Brexit over with.

That won’t happen in a hung parliament, or with Corbyn’s Labour in power.

'MAKE LABOUR GREAT'

Jeremy Corbyn has turned Labour into a negative anti-business party that is clueless on how the economy works.

His £1.2trillion spending splurge is complete madness. His spending plans would create economic chaos.

With his barmy idea of a four day working week and other madcap schemes, his numbers simply don’t add up.

The Labour front bench is full of people who need to take their socks off to count to ten!

I’m a target of Corbyn propaganda. He appeals to young voters to see me as a multi-millionaire with no understanding of how hard it is to be poor.

Wrong. I grew up very poor on a council estate in East London. I took advantage of a school education rather than becoming a garment worker in a sweatshop.

I had an enterprising spirit and started my business by selling car aerials from a van I’d bought for £50 and insured for £8.

'CLOBBER ORDINARY PEOPLE'

It was a long way from there to the boardroom, but that’s not a journey people could make under Corbyn.

I’m aware some people on Twitter have criticised me as simply protecting my self-interest as a wealthy man.

That is rubbish. I’ve made my money fair and square and have been happy to pay my taxes, as I believe them to be fair. This isn’t about me.

Corbyn getting into power would affect everyone, from the person earning minimum living wage up to the CEOs of Britain’s biggest companies.

He’ll clobber ordinary people, young and old, with sky-rocketing taxes: holiday tax, higher petrol tax, pensions tax or a tax for drivers. You name it, he wants to tax it.

If the economy is in a good place, we all benefit. Businesses can invest, hire, export and grow, and the government can invest in people’s priorities like the NHS, police and schools and cut the cost of living for hard-working people.

Unemployment is now at its lowest since 1974, and over 300,000 more people are in work since 2010. Don’t let Labour ruin the progress made.

We’ve got to keep Corbyn out of No10 and elect a Conservative majority government.

On Thursday, it’s time for Sun readers to tell Corbyn to resign and get a sensible person to take the helm and make Labour great again.
