Woman says she loves husband ‘even more’ after he killed the man she claimed had raped her
A WOMAN whose husband killed his friend after catching him allegedly attempting to rape her has rallied to her partner's defence.
Juliana Budianto, 22, from Probolinggo, Indonesia, insists her spouse Nanang, 21, stabbed his pal to death in a heroic bid to save her.
Juliana alleges she was on the verge of being raped by Slamet Widodo, 25, at the time of his alleged murder, reports.
She also alleged she was previously raped two other times by Widodo — although her husband was not aware of the previous attacks at the time of the killing.
Police detained Nanang after the incident on Saturday and charged him with premeditated murder.
Under Indonesia's criminal code, the charge means life in jail or execution.
But Juliana told she was "sad and confused" after her husband's arrest.
She said: "What my husband did was necessary to protect me from Slamet’s depraved acts.
"I love him even more, he was willing to make a sacrifice for my sake."
