FORMER Labour Peer Lord Sugar would back Boris Johnson in the General Election – if he was allowed to cast a vote.
The Apprentice judge says Jeremy Corbyn has caused the “destruction” of the “once great Labour party”.
The entrepreneur says it “pains” him to turn his back on the party he has supported for years.
But like all members of the House of Lords they are not allowed by law to vote in a general election.

He said: “If I could vote I would have to vote for Boris this time.”
He was appointed a peer by Gordon Brown in 2009.
Lord Sugar says that if Mr Corbyn becomes PM “that would be the day Britain died”.
