JEREMY Kyle was last night exposed for bullying guests in foul-mouthed rants which ITV secretly edited out of his show.

The presenter, 54, swore at and goaded participants yet the scenes ended on the cutting room floor.

The hounding even continued off stage, clips leaked to MPs showed.

They accused ITV of a “corporate failure” while one of his victims said he deserves to be prosecuted.

Dwayne Davison, who was once dubbed the ITV show’s most hated guest, last night said : “Kyle is a lowlife and a bully. He was at the centre of all this hatred and he revelled in it."

The 28-year-old added: “He’s worse than any of these people he’s accused of being villains.

He deserves to be prosecuted — the man has incited so much hatred it is despicable.”

Dwayne, who says his life was ruined by appearing on the show, spoke out after MPs published damning new evidence about Kyle — seen dressed as an ogre at a Halloween ball this week.

Unedited rushes released by ITV to a Commons committee investigating the now-axed show captured the presenter, 54, calling one guest a “gob-sh***”, and “slouching little idiot”.

Another jibe, “Have you bought a ring or stolen one?”, aimed at a guest talking about his engagement, was also edited out.

Further evidence of the hounding continuing behind the scenes was provided by a whistleblower, who leaked footage to the MPs.

One highly distressed man was given no comfort as he punched a wall. Another was followed backstage by the crew and filmed with his head in his hands.

A woman left unable to speak was coaxed into accepting responsibility for her problems.

Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee chair Damian Collins said: “It is clear that once the cameras started rolling on The Jeremy Kyle Show there was no safe space for anyone in a highly distressed state.

“We’ve also seen how Jeremy Kyle would use provocative and sometimes abusive language towards participants in the show, and that this could be edited out of the broadcasted show.

“What we’ve seen demonstrates a failure on the part of ITV Studios in its responsibility towards contributors and makes a mockery of the aftercare it has claimed to provide.”

Some of the footage given to MPs was thought to be of Dwayne, who has previously said he tried to kill himself because of his treatment on the show.

He told The Sun: “I felt like I was backed into a corner from the start. He was attacking me here and there.

"They edited out all the things Jeremy said. He called me other names, swore at me.

“But you don’t get to see them, only what the guests say. It’s very convenient. It’s a false reality. That’s the power of editing.”

Last night ITV, which cancelled the show in May after 14 years as a daytime staple, said it had no intention of reviving it.

It added: “The physical and mental health of everyone we work with is our highest priority.”

The committee is investigating care offered to reality TV participants after a string of deaths.

They included the apparent suicides of Kyle guests Steve Dymond, 63, in May and Erica Pawson, 36, in 2005.
