The ITV show, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, also shows the Duke of Sussex calling Cape Town "an amazing place".

He adds: "The rest of our lives, especially our live's work, will be predominantly focused on Africa."

Prince Harry visited Botswana last month and is now believed to be searching for a dream home for Meghan Markle and baby Archie in the African nation.

A source told : "They would love to build a traditional bush lodge, constructed by locals, bringing work and trade to the land.

"There has also been talk of a local school being built as well.

"Most importantly they want somewhere where they have complete privacy and will not be disturbed."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are understood to be seeking more "family time" after an intense period in the public eye.

Broadcaster Tom Bradby, who interviewed the prince for tonight's ITV documentary, told the royal couple are "vulnerable and bruised".

NEW HOME SEARCH

Speaking about Africa, Harry says in the ITV programme: "I don't know where we could live in Africa at the moment. We've just come from Cape Town.

"That would be an amazing place for us to able to base ourselves."

Botswana is one of the most stable countries in Africa.

And its president, Mokgweetsi Masisi, is believed to have given the royals' plans his blessing.

English is the official language of Botswana but sources reportedly claim Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are learning Setswana.

The source added: "Harry loves the idea of Archie spending a lot of his childhood in the country as it has been such a healing and beautiful place for him."

Harry's love of Botswana started when he visited the country shortly after his mum's death in 1997.

He previously said of the nation: "This is where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world."

His favourite hideout is said to be Meno A Kwena, a remote bush camp located on the western edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans national park.

The engagement ring Harry gave to Meghan has a Botswana diamond and two smaller ones from Princess Diana's collection.
