Baby girl tests positive for fentanyl 50 times stronger than heroin after parents kept her in car ‘filled with smoke’
A BABY girl has tested positive for a drug 50 times stronger than heroin after being found passed out in the back of her parents' "smoke filled" car.
Parents Denisse and Pablo Solorzano, were arrested after police were called by a witness who claimed to see the couple using drugs inside a car in Phoenix, Arizona, on October 7.
Officers arrived at the scene and reportedly found the couple in the vehicle "filled with smoke", and their one-year-old daughter in the back.
Police were unable to wake the child despite desperately trying to for several minutes.
According to , she was later rushed to Maryvale Hospital, where doctors confirmed fentanyl, a drug 50 times stronger than heroin, was found in her system.
'PAINKILLERS'
Both Denisse and Pablo were later searched and found to have drugs in their possession, however Pablo claimed his were painkillers.
The little girl's condition is currently unknown.
According to court documents, Pablo told police that it was "his wife's birthday and he was stupid to buy drugs" and that "he regretted doing this to his wife and that he would take responsibility completely".
He remains held in police custody, however his wife was released.
The Department of Child Services has been informed of the incident, and the parents are not allowed to see their daughter.

The pair now face felony charges of endangerment, possession or use of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Last month, an 11-month-old baby overdosed on heroin in his parents’ car in Pennsylvania after they had passed out from taking the drug, police said.
