KATE Middleton stunned in a chic outfit complete with a £3k Chanel bag as she arrived at the Natural History Museum in London today.

The Duchess of Cambridge donned a pair of Jigsaw khaki culottes with a long-sleeved aubergine Warehouse top for the royal visit.

The 37-year-old accessorised the elegant High Street outfit - including £130 trousers and £39 jumper - with a £3,000 Chanel bag.

It will be a busy day for the mum-of-three, who has been the Patron of the Natural History Museum since 2003.

She is expected to see DNA sequencing in action, as well as viewing some of the specimens.

The Angela Marmont Centre (AMC) is a unique scientific hub located in the Natural History Museum that is dedicated to the study of the UK’s natural world.

AMC staff work with colleagues from the museum to carry out a range of scientific research, including analysis of environmental DNA.

The duchess has long been an advocate for the importance of nature and the outdoors.

She even welcomed kids to the opening of her Back to Nature play garden in Surrey last month

The Sun also previously revealed how her love of the outdoors had held her in good stead with the Queen.

It comes after Kate and husband Prince William, also 37, met with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates at Kensington Palace on Tuesday.

William and Kate hosted the billionaire philanthropist at their London home on Tuesday in their role as patrons of their Royal Foundation.

Kate Middleton was most recently praised for teaming with Prince William and the Sussexes, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, for a mental health awareness ad.

Brits first saw the three-minute video - in which the four royals act as narrators and tell viewers how to beat bad sleep, stress and low mood - on Monday evening as it promoted the NHS Every Mind Matters campaign.

The short film was written by Richard Curtis and directed by celebrity photographer Rankin.
