What did Jennifer Arcuri say about her alleged affair with Boris Johnson?

Jennifer, 34, told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid:"Would you like me to ask about your sex life?

"If I looked a different way, If I was a man, I wouldn't be objectified."

Susanna told her she understood questions about her private life and sex life "may seem awkward".

But she insisted it was important for Jennifer to answer because Boris is a "man of enormous power and influence".

Jennifer replied: "I think we're forgetting that Boris is extremely personable. It wasn't like he singled me out, he is

there to talk to anybody who gets in his face enough, and he is always a really good friend.

"I think it's unfortunate that a good friend... now I'm dragged into the middle of this horrific scandal and the answer I give will be weaponised against this man.

"It's really categorically no one's business what private life we had or didn't have"

Ms Arcuri said the PM "asked me to show him a few things" on her pole and did not deny he ever used it.

She said: "A handful of times. Five times? Ten times? I haven't sat here and counted.

When asked whether the then-London Mayor used the pole, she said: "I’m never, never going to tell you that.

"I’m just having a little fun. The pole was just a simple fun thing. The pole sat in the living room, he saw the pole.

"I asked him to have a go. He sat down with his tea and started muttering."

Did Jennifer explain how she met Boris?

Describing the first time she saw him at the British Venture Capital summit in October 2011, she said: "I turn around and this guy walks in the room.

"His hair is all dishevelled and his shirt is untucked. He has papers that look like I have pulled them out of my pre-school backpack.

"But he turned the room of men into howling schoolgirls. It was electrifying - to see that kind of personality to change the room.

"I was like 'who is this guy, I need to say hi'."

She said later persuaded him to speak at one of her business events, adding: "On the bus he had a book of short stories.

"We spoke about classic literature and Shakespeare and made a bond about that."

After meeting, they exchanged numbers and he later texted her "Boris calling Jennifer" and she used the codename "Alex the Great" on her phone to guard his privacy.

Where did Jennifer say she regularly met up with Boris?

Asked if they socialised, she said: “Sure [I saw him socially]. It wasn’t like a regular thing.

"It was more like, ‘What are you doing, would you like to have lunch’ and we’d have lunch… We tried having drinks out in public or having lunch, it just became too much of a mob show.

"I said, ‘Look you’ve just got to come to my office, I don’t have time to play paparazzi and selfies with you, you can come directly to me’. My Shoreditch office was on his way home.”

She clarified: “Yes [it was in my flat]. Which is very common for most start-ups.”

Jennifer said her office had "three little bedrooms", but the flat had "plenty of office space for him to come visit".

She added: "I’m not really sure how many times. But it’s never like he stayed at any great length.

"He was always late, and I’d say something about him being late, and he’d say, ‘Should I not have come at all?’ And it was like, ‘Ok well you’re here, you’ve got five minutes, let’s talk’.”

Pushed again on how many times he visited her office she said: “I mean, a handful [of times]. A handful over a few years. I don’t really know.

"And it wasn’t like he always came to my flat. Sometimes we would meet out in public, I didn’t like it, it always became a spectacle.

“Five times? Ten times, between… a handful of times. Six times. Seven times. I don’t know. I’ve not sat here and counted, I told you a handful of times, we’ll say five.”
