Thomas Cook customers devastated as last minute replacement holidays are CANCELLED
THOMAS Cook customers who rebooked holidays with another firm were left disappointed after they were cancelled AGAIN.
Online travel agent Love Holidays initially accepted the bookings before cancelling dozens of last-minute trips because of "unprecedented demand".
And customers have been warned it will take days before their refunds are processed.
Fuming holidaymakers claim Love Holidays should not have advertised the trips if there was any danger they wouldn't be available.
One said: "Love Holidays took £8,000 of my group’s money on Monday and then took over 24 hours to tell us that they hadn’t got our holiday after the Thomas Cook failure."
Another raged: "You’re quick enough to take full payment. If you can’t confirm bookings don’t put holidays out online."
'TOO MUCH DEMAND' TO HONOUR BOOKINGS
A spokeswoman said: “These are unprecedented times.
"We do say in our terms and conditions that a booking request can take up to 72 hours to process.
“It’s hugely frustrating because we would like to fulfil every holiday request."
The Civil Aviation Authority said it has so far brought back more than half of the total number of affected customers since it launched the country's largest peacetime repatriation on Monday.

Fears are growing that holiday prices will shoot up next summer following the traumatic period for the industry.
Around 25,000 tourists were due to fly to Majorca alone with the travel giant this month.
About one million people will be affected by the cancellation of all future Thomas Cook bookings, including Martin Nowell and his partner Pixie Flageul, who were due to go on their first holiday together to Egypt.
