The Swiss man - who has not been named - was given the hallucinogenic drug by his girlfriend on Friday night, say reports from France.

Shortly after taking the mind-bending narcotic he fell into the man-made lake in the Adventureland area on the family theme park.

However,  after he failed to turn up by the time the rides were about to close at night his worried girlfriend alerted Disney's security teams.

Then dozens of firefighters, 10 divers, 80 park employees, sniffer dogs and even a military helicopter were dispatched to track down the missing man.

He was eventually found just after midnight dazed and very confused on the edge of the lake, reports .

It turned out the man had actually stripped, left the park wandered for more than a mile barefoot before returning to the lake - home to a full-size replica of Skull Rock.

“I was driving home on Saturday around 1am when I came face to face with a naked man,” a local man identified only as Benoit told the paper.

“He was walking in the middle of the road. He did not have a centimetre of cloth on him and he walked barefoot,” Benoit said.

“I stopped, got out of the car and went to meet him. I wanted to know what a naked man was doing 300m from my home.”

It's claimed the man then confessed he had taken LSD and said he needed to contact his girlfriend urgently.

The pair were later taken to a nearby police station and arrested on drugs charges before being released.

A spokesperson for Disneyland reportedly said the incident had no impact on other guests at the park.
