A POWERFUL saloon car that can match the limited top speed of the BMW M3 can now be bought for less than £8,000.
The set of wheels boasts a meaty V8 engine and is beautifully refined - styled with the very best wood and leather materials.
The old-school Daimler Super Eight, which, to some, is simply a Jaguar XJ with extra trimmings, was the very height of power and luxury when it was released in the early 2000s.
The little-known model was the last of many high-spec examples based on Jaguar's flagship models- courtesy of their link with Daimler.
Available in small numbers, Daimler offered exclusivity to Jag fans - usually including extra power and plushier interiors.
The Super Eight cost £80,000 from new back in 2007 - some £5,000 more than the Jaguar iteration - but is now somewhat of a bargain buy second-hand if you're lucky enough to come across one.

Indeed, we found an example for sale on the website for just £8,000 - some 90% cheaper than it was less than 20 years ago.
The 4.2-litre motor features an automatic gearbox and appears to be in great condition, as from "some minor scratches to the bodywork", according to the listing.
The current owner added: "The car drives superbly and these cars are becoming rarer."
This example was registered in 2005 and comes with 145,500 miles on the clock.
