Car collectors from across the country will battle it out to drive away in the classics cars, including models from Jaguar and now defunct West Bromwich automaker Jensen Motors.

But the most stunning motor is arguably the 1969 Aston Martin DB6, that is worth a staggering £750,000.

The classy vehicle is an exact replica of the model that featured in the 1969 James Bond classic On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which starred George Lazenby as 007.

The Australian actor was the only person to play the iconic role once, despite receiving a Golden Globe nomination for his role.

The 12-car collection belonged to the late retail entrepreneur Peter Phillips, who died suddenly last year.

The stunning motors were collected by Peter, the owner of Jones Bootmakers, over several years and are now being sold by his family.

Another notable vehicle being sold is a 1915 Rolls Royce 40/50hp Silver Ghost Alpine Eagle Tourer, worth £500,000.

A 1998 Aston Martin Vantage, 1956 Jaguar XK140 and a 1974 Jensen Interceptor are all expected to fetch large sums.

A spokesman for auctioneers Bonhams said: "This is a very special collection collated by the late Peter Phillips, former owner of the Jones Bootmakers footwear chain.

"Spanning a century of motoring, the motor cars offered celebrate the best of British, from a 1915 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost to a 2015 Range Rover Autobiography, via a 1974 Jensen Interceptor Series III.

"Peter was a well-known Aston Martin enthusiast and so this selection offers a half-dozen examples of the marque, including a 1969 DB6 Mk2 Volante to Vantage Specification, and a 1968 DBS Vantage Sports Saloon."

Aston Martin recently released a limited-edition DBS Superleggerra to mark the anniversary of On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Inspired by the 1969 DBS featured in the film, 50 units of the exclusive motor will go on sale at the end of this year.
