PEUGEOT has merged the worlds of old and new for its e-Legend concept car, which was revealed at its home Paris Motor Show.
The French carmaker has transformed its retro 504 Coupe into a fully electric and driverless motor riddled with new-age technology.
The driver seat is reminiscent of Captain Kirk's chair including plush wood with integrated dials and screen for basic driving controls in autonomous mode.
A voice-activated 'personal assistant' has also been created for the driverless car, and works in 17 different languages.
When driving manually, the stylish steering wheel is accompanied by a pop-up dashboard.
Legend and Boost modes are also available when in 'manual' - the former for cruising and latter for a more dynamic ride, including a 180-degree projection of the road on-screen.
The e-Legend has a driverless option
Accelerating 0-62mph in under four seconds, the e-Legend has a top speed of around 137mph.
The electric motor has 100kWh batteries with 800Nm torque and 340Kw power - distributed to the four-wheel drive.
A mat also wirelessly charges the car, which is similar to that of BMW's CarPad.
Inside, the Peugeot keeps to the retro theme with velvet seats throughout and wood detailing.

Jean-Philippe Imparato, Peugeot CEO, said: “Peugeot e-Legend concept is not just a technological manifesto.
"This is the vision of a brand actively focused on an optimistic and ultra-desirable future.
"For Peugeot, autonomy and electric are synonymous with even stronger sensations.
"Boredom will never be part of our DNA.”
