The world’s fastest SUV has been revealed as Lister amps up the Jaguar F-Pace to roar at 200mph

The £140,000 LFP car has 670bhp and will drive 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds

SPECIALIST sports car maker and tuner Lister has unveiled the LFP – the fastest-ever SUV.

Built from a Jaguar F-Pace, the car has been souped-up to produce 670bhp with a 200mph top speed.

The Lister LFP is the world’s fastest SUV with a top speed of 200mph

It will accelerate from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds – and although the record-breaking Tesla Model X P100D can do the same in 2.5 seconds when in Ludicrous mode, it has a limited top speed of 155mph.

The carbon-fibre-laced car is expected to cost from £140,000, but the price tag will inevitably rocket once customers begin adding bespoke details.

“Considerable” interest has already been lodged by prospective buyers ahead of the LFP’s full reveal later this month, according to Lister – who also previously turned the Jaguar F-Type sports car into its own LFT-666.

The book is already open for LFP orders and customer deliveries will begin in October.

Meanwhile, Jaguar’s highest-spec F-Pace model, the SVR, is almost half the price of the LFP, starting from under £75,000.

It has a top speed of 176mph and travels 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds.

Lawrence Whittaker, Lister CEO, said: “I am delighted, overwhelmed and gratified by the huge level of interest, excitement and orders our LFT-666 supercar has already generated in just a few months.

“Based on early indications, our new LFP promises to repeat the success of the LFT-666, and I really can’t wait to reveal the world’s fastest SUV quite soon.
