A mechanic has turned an old Fiat Uno into his dream Lamborghini for just £600
Brazilian Edimar Souza Goulart, 28, takes 'Pimp My Ride' to a whole new level
NICKNAMED Lamborguno, mechanic and painter Edimar Souza Goulart made his dream car a reality by transforming his Fiat Uno into a Lamborghini Aventador.
The 28-year-old Brazilian spent around £1800 on the 2002 supermini two years ago.
He has invested a further £600 over the last 12 months turning the Fiat’s bodywork into an Lamborghini lookalike.
It comes complete with the word ‘Aventador’ printed along the rear, as well as the signature bull badge on the bonnet.
The interior remains the same from the Uno, but Goulart insists he is still applying the final touches to his creation.
He is also still waiting for the Department of Transport to approve his design and allow the car to be legally driven on public roads.
Launched in 2011, the Aventador started from around £260,000 in the UK. It has since been replaced by an improved S model.
The supercar can accelerate 0-60mph in under three seconds.
Meanwhile, Goulart’s modified Fiat takes more than 15 seconds to reach the same speed.
The Uno also has a max speed of 94mph, while the Lamborghini can hit 217mph.
From Rondonopolis city, Goulart said the project was inspired by his dream to be able to afford a supercar.
He told local media: “I’ve always loved sports cars.
“It is a dream come true to put this car together.”
